HLA-DQ is a gene family for a αβ heterodimer cell surface receptor, part of the HLA system. The subunits are coded by genes HLA-DQA1 and HLA-DQB1, and the combination determines the DQ serotype: DQ2, DQ4-DQ9. DQ1 was split and DQ3 was removed. DQ is associated with many autoimmune diseases.
