This SNP in the SCG3 gene was significantly associated with an obesity phenotype. Two other SNPs, rs16964465 and rs16964476, affected the transcriptional activity of SCG3 and subjects with their minor alleles seemed to be resistant (OR 9.3) to obesity. [PMID 17200173]
