rs3865418, a SNP in the NEDD4L gene, has been associated with hypertension in a study of Chinese (Hans) patients.
Association under an additive model yielded an odds ratio of 1.31 (CI: 1.04-1.67, p=0.025) for the rs3865418(T) allele. The association remained significant (p = 0.039) after adjusting for age and sex, and was primarily associated with significantly higher diastolic blood pressure.[PMID 18293164]
