HI Just wondering what -;- is in snpedia? I know D;D D;I are displayed but is -;- no calls or what? Thanks

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indel . I/D is a notation only used by 23andMe, it is a bit problematic in that some variations have multiple different insertion texts (used to be true for rs332, since merged/deleted). '-' was more common in the reference genome during earlier genome versions. In SNPedia you will sometimes also see (;). ClinVar is rather fond of a slightly different notation that likes to show the neighboring position. Generally all of these would indicate a deletion. But if you have a particular example in mind, point to it and I'll have a look --- cariaso 21:06, 8 February 2015 (UTC)
