[PMID 18332089] (287 cases, 187 controls) rs1640262, (C,C) homozygotes were protected against polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) (P = 0.009).
Three SNPs were studied: rs2238614, rs741103, and rs1640262. Haplotype G-A-T was associated with increased risk of PCOS (P = 0.015). Among women with PCOS, haplotype A-G-C was associated with increased insulin resistance (P = 0.014). [1]
