How are the results ordered, and in particular, why is baldness #2 on my results list, and why is it even on my list if I am a woman -- or am I at risk for being a bald woman?
- By default, results are sorted by Magnitude which is subjective and decided by community consensus, but you can change the sorting order from one of the pulldown menus.
- Many SNPs contribute to Baldness, and if one of them is near the top of your results it's because you don't have anything of higher magnitude for promethease to tell you. That's probably good, but boring. Even as a woman you can still carry many of the SNPs that contribute to baldness. Baldness or thinning hair is rare for women, but not unheard of. Since you share your DNA with male relatives, and will pass many of them onto male offspring it is notable. Promethease is not designed to completely filter results based on your sex, so some male oriented results will turn up in your report. However I see that your report did detect that you are gs145 female, and therefore gs122 baldness risk, should not have shown. I see in your report that both were present and I'm now investigating why gs122 wasn't filtered out.

- a small error in genoset calculation has now been resolved. Thanks for highlighting the concern. --- cariaso 21:04, 6 May 2016 (UTC)
