Changed magnitude to 10. This mutation results in a life-shortening, difficult-to-treat childhood disease. It deserves 10.
Edit reverted (magnitude reverted to 8). This magnitude was set after discussion with several cystic fibrosis patients, who pointed out several factors such as (1) severity of CF varies between patients for still many unknown reasons, and (2) treatments for CF are getting better and better, and life expectancy is increasing. A magnitude of 8 is still one of the highest in SNPedia, but CF patients do not feel their condition should be labelled with the "worst ever" type of stigma that comes with a magnitude of 10.Greg (talk) 04:17, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
