Every Promethease report I've ever run has returned the abnormal genotype AA for a dozen or so unrelated people, and every one of the nearly 1500 users on OpenSNP are all AA as well. AncestryDNA doesn't seem to genotype this location, but it at least seems v3&v4 23andMe reports always return the abnormal result. I do not think it's a problem with orientation given that there is no variation at all with the consumer genos on OpenSNP, I think there may be something up with the SNP itself—that or a widespread problem with correctly calling it. Actually, our stats show that about 1 in 1000 users aren't AA (for the plus/forward strand orientation). But the more important thing is that you've called attention to something that required fixing: the field 'StabilizedOrientation' was incorrectly reset the last time a particular bot visited this page. We've just corrected it; thanks for bringing this up. Greg (talk) 20:39, 7 May 2017 (UTC)
