Older adults having this combination of genotypes from the DRD2 (glutamate) and NR3A (aspartate) associated receptors show better episodic memory performance compared to all other genotypes. This combination does not show a difference among younger adults, nor does either gene on it's own, based on this study of ~1500 adults.[PMID 24332987]
