Normal risk of testicular cancer.

Testicular germ cell tumor risk I("TGCT"; i.e. testicular cancer risk) was increased 40% per copy of the major (T) allele at rs4324715 and rs6897876 (OR = 1.37, CI: 1.14–1.64; OR = 1.39, CI: 1.16–1.66, respectively), based on a genome-wide scan of 277 primarily Caucasian TGCT cases and 919 controls. Men who have two copies of the common version of the sprouty 4 SPRY4 gene have a 1.5-fold higher risk of testicular cancer than men who have two copies of the less common or minor version of the gene.
