This uncommon risk allele A was found in a GWAS to be associated with drug induced liver injury with diclofenac. OR = 11.3 (4.9–25.9) Replicability is uncertain, but individuals with this genotype should be aware of the potential of increased risk. The odds ratio above is probably for heterozygotes, and it is not clear if the homozygous AA is worse, if in fact the risk can be replicated.
