[PMID 18776141] A 2008 article showed higher adiponectin levels with rs17300539 (Minor A is risk allele) with strong significance P(n) = 2.6 x 10(-8) and rs822387 (Minor C allele ) with a significance of (P(n) = 3.8 x 10(-5), but neither SNP was associated with diabetes risk. Only minor C allele of rs17366743 had a hazard ratio of "1.94 for incident diabetes (95% CI 1.16–3.25; Pn = 0.01)"
